TROY to award diplomas in Malaysia tonight

MALACCA, MALAYSIA—Seventy-five Troy University students enrolled on its Malaysia Campus will receive degrees in the annual commencement ceremony scheduled to begin today at 9 p.m. CDT.

The ceremony marks the fifth graduation ceremony for TROY in Malaysia. The University began offering degree programs in Malacca in 2003 in partnership with Putra International College.

Dr. Earl Ingram, Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at TROY, will deliver the commencement address and confer degrees. Dr. Ingram has served as Vice Chancellor of Global Campus since 2006. He earned baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees from Auburn University, receiving his Ph.D. in 1976. Dr. Ingram held several positions in corporate human resources before beginning his academic career. Dr. Ingram also served with distinction as a captain in the U.S. Army on active duty from 1966 to 1972.

In addition to its four Alabama campuses, TROY serves students at more than 60 sites in 16 states and 10 international locations. In all, about 30,000 students in traditional classroom settings and through its online program eTROY.
