MONTGOMERY—The national tour of the Broadway favorite "My Fair Lady" will come to Montgomery for one night only with a performance at Troy University's Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.
"My Fair Lady" tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a common, unrefined girl, and Professor Henry Higgins, who takes on the challenge of transforming Eliza into a proper lady. The 1956 Broadway smash inspired an Academy Award-winning film starring Audrey Hepburn and features such memorable songs as "Wouldn't It Be Loverly?," "With a Little Bit of Luck," and "The Rain in Spain."
Single tickets for the performance are on sale now and range in price from $25 to $50.
The Davis Theatre is located in downtown Montgomery at 251 Montgomery Street. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the Theatre office at 334-241-9567. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon.
"My Fair Lady" is sponsored by SMI Advertising and Viamedia.
The 2011-2012 season at the Davis Theatre will continue on Thursday, Dec. 8, with a concert by Grammy-winning country singer Lee Ann Womack.
