DOTHAN—Troy University’s Continuing Education Center will offer professional development courses for attorneys and nurses this month at the Dothan Campus.
Part one of the Alabama Law Update series, the annual CLE courses for attorneys, will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Part two will be held on Friday, Dec 7.
Topics covered will include the state’s legal position on gambling, immigration issues, torts, legislative updates and more. Highly qualified professionals in the legal field will present all topics.
Each update includes ethics as required by the state. The pre-registration fee is $185; the fee for walk-ins is $225.
The Center will also offer a seminar for nurses, “Drug-Resistant Infections and Their Management,” on Monday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. The course will provide one hour of nursing credit.
Attendees will discuss risk factors, spread, diagnosis, control and treatment of drug resistance organisms and learn to identify the signs, symptoms and treatment/prevention of scabies, lice infections, West Nile virus and TB.
Pre-registration is required and the fee is $15.
