PHENIX CITY — Troy University officials and community leaders will discuss the future of development along Phenix City's riverfront during a community forum later this month.
The event will be held on Tuesday, July 23, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Chattahoochee River Club in Columbus. Admission is free and open to the public.
“The Future of TROY on the River" forum will feature University officials and leaders involved in riverfront development discussing changes and new projects coming to the area. The presenters will address new TROY programs, centers of excellence, new developments, businesses in the area, streetscaping, and plans and timeline for TROY's riverfront campus.
“We think that much of the future opportunity and growth in our region will be tied to the River and with our new campus location on the Riverfront, we see our future there, as well," said Dr. David White, TROY's vice chancellor for the Phenix City Campus. “We think that it is important that our communities understand our plans and our vision of being a partner on the River."
In addition to Dr. White, other speakers at the forum will include Mat Swift, President of the Real Estate Division of W.C. Bradley, and Shaun Culligan, the Economic Development Manager for the City of Phenix City.
