TROY's Davis Theatre will host “The Heart Behind the Music: Christmas Showcase" on Dec. 3

MONTGOMERY — Troy University's Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts will host “The Heart Behind the Music: Christmas Showcase" on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m., featuring Susan Ashton, Lenny LeBlanc, Billy Dean and Richie McDonald.

"The Heart Behind the Music" brings to the stage some of the world's best singers and songwriters who share the meaning and music behind their hit songs. The “Christmas Showcase" will feature both the well-known hits from these talented artists along with a selection of classic Christmas songs.

Richie McDonald is both a solo country artist and the lead singer of the award-winning country music group Lonestar. McDonald is known for providing vocals on such hits as, “I'm Already There," “Walking in Memphis" and “Amazed." Joining McDonald is the multi-talented singer, songwriter, and actor Billy Dean. Some of Dean's hits include “Only Here for a Little While," “Somewhere in My Broken Heart" and “If There Hadn't Been You."

Known for his 1970s hit ballad, “Falling" and more recent hits, “Above All" and “There is None Like You," the versatile pop, country and Christian songwriter Lenny LeBlanc adds his talent to the group. Completing this group of gifted performers is one of the biggest stars in the contemporary Christian music scene from the 1990s with nine number one hits – Susan Ashton.
