Troy University online criminal justice programs ranked in top 15 nationally as 'best buys'

TROY - Two Troy University online degree programs in criminal justice have been highly ranked nationally as "Best Buys" by, a consumer group that provides comparative data on some 3,800 regionally accredited online programs as a service to help students, ranked TROY's online Master of Science in Criminal Justice program eighth among competing options nationwide, while the bachelor's program was ranked 15th.

The Best Buy rankings listed 18 affordable online master's degree programs in criminal justice. The rankings were calculated by comparing tuition and distance education fees at 31 regionally accredited universities in the U.S.

The bachelor's degree rankings were derived from analysis of 43 regionally accredited universities offering 57 undergraduate programs in the career areas of criminal justice, homeland security, law and legal studies.

A GetEducated Best Buy award indicates the University's online learning program has been independently reviewed and found to offer "a high quality, regionally accredited online (program) at a cost that ranks well below the national average."

TROY also recently ranked on's top 25 lists for psychology, human services and information technology degrees.
