TROY students to enjoy free food, prizes, bookstore discount during Student Appreciation Day

The faculty and staff of Troy University will show their appreciation for students during the University's first Student Appreciation Day on Wednesday, April 1.

Students will be able to enjoy free food, prizes and activities at all four of TROY's campuses in Alabama and teaching sites throughout the U.S. All current TROY students will also receive a 25-percent discount coupon for Troy University's Barnes & Noble bookstores via email which can be used online at or TROY campus bookstores.

The event was organized so that faculty and staff could celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of TROY students everywhere, said Dr. Dionne Rosser-Mims, associate professor of adult education and chair of the Student Appreciation Day advisory council.

"April 1 is the day faculty and staff have the opportunity to demonstrate to all TROY students that it is truly a privilege for us to help mentor and guide students' academic success at Troy University," Dr. Rosser-Mims said. "It is also a wonderful way to promote Trojan pride!"
