DOTHAN - To celebrate Women's History Month, Troy University will present a free public screening of the 2015 documentary film "He Named Me Malala" on Sunday, March 20 at the Dothan Campus.
The screening takes place in the Sony Hall auditorium in Everett Hall at 2 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
"He Named Me Malala" tells the story of young female activist Malala Yousafzai. She was shot in the face by the Taliban, but healed and continued to fight for women's rights, particularly in the education field.
Yousafzai is the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
The screening will be followed by a faculty-led discussion.
