TROY - A Troy University student was recently awarded a $2,500 scholarship from a national charitable organization aimed at promoting and aiding those with dyslexia.

Calvin Drew Murray, a junior majoring in math, was one of just 16 students nationwide selected by Dyslexic Advantage to receive the Karina Eide Memorial College Scholarship, which can be applied to tuition and educational needs.

The scholarship is awarded to students who show exemplary leadership, ability and fortitude.

Murray works closely with the University's Adaptive Needs Program.

The ADA office in the John W. Schmidt Center for Student Success supports University students who qualify for ADA services with academic accommodations in their classes. Other ADA services are also provided to faculty and staff through the University's Office of Human Resources.
