MONTGOMERY - Artist Stephen Hayes, whose sculpture exhibit "Cash Crop" has been on display at Troy University's Rosa Parks Museum since January, will help bring the exhibit to a close this week with two free Artist Talks.

The events will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday in the Rosa Parks Museum's auditorium.

"Cash Crop" depicts the horrors of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and seeks to create a connection between human rights violations of the past and the present.

Originally from Durham, N.C., Hayes earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina Central University and his Master of Fine Arts in sculpture from the Savannah College of Art and Design. In addition to award-winning exhibition work, Hayes has also served as an instructor at Georgia State University.
