Troy University has cancelled classes effective at 5:30 p.m. central time today, Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, on all Alabama campuses due to weather conditions. Essential campus functions, including dining, public safety and residence halls, will remain operational.

These locations will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 17, and are expected to resume regular operations on Thursday, Jan. 18. Students, faculty and staff are urged to monitor TROY’s website, its SOS notification system and the Troy.Today blog for updates.

Friday, Jan. 19/11:30 a.m./Sartain Hall parking lot area: Troy University officials will officially break ground a new student recreation center at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19 on the grounds of Sartain Hall on the Troy Campus.

Site preparation has begun at Troy University for the construction of a new student recreation center in the area formerly known as the Sartain Hall parking lot.

Construction of the new $25 million facility is expected to take 18 months.
