Dr. Win (Gi-Young) Koo | Associate Professor of Sport Management

Dr. Win Koo earned his doctoral degree from the University of Arkansas in Recreation and Sport Management with an emphasis in Sport Marketing and Statistics and his master's degree in physical education with an emphasis in sport management and a bachelor's degree in sports and leisure studies from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.
Before joining the TROY faculty in 2013, Dr. Koo previously held teaching positions at the University of Arkansas, East Tennessee State University, the University of Tennessee, Florida A&M University, Tallahassee Community College, Yonsei University and as a teaching and research assistant at Florida State University.
Dr. Koo's research focuses on different aspects of sport marketing, especially sport sponsorship/endorsement, consumer behavior and service marketing. His research has been published in a number of prominent journals, including the Journal of Intercollegiate Sport, the International Journal of Sport Management, the Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics, Sports Marketing Quarterly and the International Journal of Sport Communication.
He teaches sport marketing, sport finance, research methods, and statistics while his research interests include the various aspects of marketing and consumer behavior in sports.
