Troy University has an established and growing number of corporate partners that they have joined with to provide opportunities for its employees to achieve personal and professional growth through TROY’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The Corporate Achiever Scholarship is offered to the full-time employees, contractors, spouse, or dependent of a full-time employee of one of TROY’s corporate partners. Undergraduate students with a 2.5 GPA will be offered one free course in their first term if they enroll in at lest two courses, and one free course in their final term as they prepare to complete their degree.
Graduate students who are unconditionally admitted will be offered one free course in their final term as they prepare to complete their degree.

Application and selection procedures:
Incoming students must apply for the scholarship prior to the start of their first term at Troy University. Priority for awards will be based on the date application packages are completed (transcripts, letter of recommendation if applicable, acceptable standardized test score, etc.). Scholarships recipients will be issued certificates indicating their awards.
The Horizon scholarship is designed to encourage adult students who are returning to college to select Troy University. As an incentive to enroll with Troy, undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.5 will be offered one free course in their first term if they enroll in at least two courses, and one free course in their final term as they prepare to complete their degree. Graduate students who are unconditionally admitted will be offered one free course in their final term as they prepare to complete their degree. Up to 200 new Horizon Scholarships will be awarded each year. Adult students may use this scholarship at any of the Alabama campuses or online, with the exception of the Troy Campus. This scholarship is limited to first time enrollees. Students receiving a Transfer Merit or Transfer Achievement scholarship are not eligible for a Horizon scholarship. The Horizon Scholarship deadline is July 1st.
A Transfer Merit Scholarship is awarded for students with a 3.5 GPA or higher and would provide a $3,000 scholarship, while a Transfer Achievement Scholarship for $2,000 is available to students with a 3.25 GPA. This scholarship will only be available to those students who have completed at least 45 hours of transferrable academic credit (non-technical) coursework.
Amount: $1,000.00 (One-half of the scholarship award will be issued each Fall and Spring).
Availability: One award to an undergraduate student beginning each fall (Term 1 or Term 2) and is renewable for the spring (Term 3 or Term 4).
Criteria: Applicants must have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA and must meet unconditional admissions requirements at TROY Montgomery by the start of the term. Awardees who maintain at least a 3.0 GPA can renew the scholarship one time for the Spring (Term 3 or Term 4).
Awardees cannot receive another TROY scholarship concurrently with the Varner scholarship. A letter of appreciation to the donor from the awardee is required.
Deadline: July 31 by 5:30 p.m.
Amount: $1,000.00 (given at beginning of fall semester).
Availability: Three awards (available in fall).
One (1) scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to a high school senior (must be a River Region resident and graduating from a high school in the River Region). The recipient can use the scholarship at the Montgomery or Troy campus and must have a 3.0 GPA to apply.
Two (2) scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to two current Troy University students (Montgomery or Troy campus). The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA; have earned 30 completed hours of coursework.
Deadline: May 29, 2016
Amount: The scholarship will pay for one three-hour course at the Montgomery Campus or it may be used for a one-time purchase of textbooks in the Montgomery Campus bookstore up to $150.00 (no refunds allowed).
Availability: One award beginning each fall (Term 1 or Term 2) and is renewable for the spring (Term 3 or Term 4) (recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA each semester).
Criteria: Active duty airmen (E4 and below) in their first enlistment. Individual must be permanently assigned to Maxwell or Gunter AFB or be a dependent child or spouse of an active duty airman (E4 and below) assigned to Maxwell or Gunter AFB. Applicant must have at least an overall 2.5 GPA on courses for transfer students, current Montgomery Campus or high school students. Applicant must be unconditionally admitted by the application deadline.
Amount: $375.00 in fall and renewable for spring.
Availability: One undergraduate student beginning with fall (Term 1 or Term 2). The scholarship is renewable for spring (Term 3 or Term 4).
Criteria: The student must have an overall and last term GPA of at least 2.0 and must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. The scholarship is awarded to hard-working students who possess the highest character and demonstrate financial need.
The Troy University Military and Family Scholarship has been established to recognize the service of U.S. Active Military, Reserve and National Guard members by offering a scholarship to the service member, their spouse and/or dependent children.
The Scholarship reduces tuition to $250 per credit hour at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
