Troy University’s Master of Science in Applied Mathematical Sciences provides students the knowledge and hands-on experience to solve quantitative and qualitative problems in business, government or industry fields. This program is intended to give students the foundation for careers in actuary, operations research, statistics, data science and teaching at the college level. The Master of Science in Applied Mathematical Sciences also prepares students for Ph.D. level studies in mathematics and statistics.
Within the program, students will have the chance to be involved with the Pi Mu Epsilon mathematics honor society, which recognizes high scholarship in mathematics. There is also access to the Mathematical Association of America, which connects students with professional mathematics educators across the country through conferences, publications and more.
