Quality Enhancement Plan
DEVELOPING A NEW QUALITY ENHANCEMENT PLAN (QEP) FOR 2019
We need your help! We want your thoughts, ideas and input on how to improve student learning at Troy University. Every 10 years, schools in the southeast that want to be accredited go through a process called “reaffirmation” in which the accreditation is renewed by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). During reaffirmation, almost every aspect of the university including, teaching, learning, facilities and much more are reviewed by peer faculty, staff and administrators from other schools in the south.
One thing that is reviewed by SACSCOC is a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) which engages the entire learning community in addressing an issue that contributes to institutional improvement. The issue should be a carefully designed and focused course of action that addresses a well-defined topic or issue related to enhancing student learning.
This is where you come in-we need topics or issues that you believe will improve student learning or improve some aspect of Troy University. The last QEP we had was “Creating a Culture of Reading”. Information about the new QEP will be posted here as we are developing it. Information about past QEP topics used by other schools (see Track B) over the years is available for reference.
