Quality Enhancement Plan

Quality Enhancement Plan

We need your help!  We want your thoughts, ideas and input on how to improve student learning at Troy University.  Every 10 years, schools in the southeast that want to be accredited go through a process called “reaffirmation” in which the accreditation is renewed by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  During reaffirmation, almost every aspect of the university including, teaching, learning, facilities and much more are reviewed by peer faculty, staff and administrators from other schools in the south.

One thing that is reviewed by SACS is a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) which engages the entire learning community in addressing an issue that contributes to institutional improvement.  The issue should be a carefully designed and focused course of action that addresses a well-defined topic or issue related to enhancing student learning.

This is where you come in-we need topics or issues that you believe will improve student learning or improve some aspect of Troy University.  The last QEP we had was “Creating a Culture of Reading” and you can go to the website http://troy.edu/qep/   and press on the left tab that says QEP 2009-2015, “Creating a Culture of Reading” that explains about the previous QEP.  The http://troy.edu/qep  website has information about the new QEP as we are developing it and it has more information about past QEP topics used by other schools over the years.  That website is now available and will have new information as we develop the new QEP.

We do want to hear from you with your ideas about a QEP subject that will improve our great school and affect TROY for years to come.  Just send us your QEP proposed topics to dtennimon@troy.edu and just indicate whether you are a student, faculty, staff or administrator for statistical purposes.  If you would rather phone with your ideas, contact Dan Tennimon at 334-241-9536.

Your topic can be one sentence or you can elaborate and describe the topic with additional description.  Help us make your Troy University even better by submitting your QEP topics!
