Troy University is committed to providing outstanding students the opportunity to achieve their higher education dreams through a robust scholarship program that recognizes outstanding scholarship, talent in performing arts and athletics, and leadership abilities. Troy University encourages international students to attend Alabama’s International University through a variety of scholarship opportunities.

NEW STUDENTS

Academic Works

Please go to Academic Works and use the email you used on your Troy University admissions application for the email address, then create your password and confirm your password (*remember your password must contain a minimum of 8 characters and include at least 1 digit, 1 uppercase letter, and 1 lowercase letter*), you will then be prompted to fill out the General Application. Once you have clicked finish and submit, your General Application will be saved in the system and you can begin searching and applying for scholarships.

CURRENT STUDENTS

ACADEMIC WORKS

International Education Scholarship (UNDERGRADUATE)

Scholarship for new undergraduate students who have elevated academic achievement and will be enrolled full-time in academic courses (minimum of 12 hours per semester).  This scholarship is for one year only (two semesters) and will waive up to out-of-state tuition requirements.  Students must meet all admission requirements and meet English proficiency requirements.
This scholarship will provide the student between $9,300 and $14,000 annually (two semesters).

International Honors Scholarship (UNDERGRADUATE)

Recognizes undergraduate students who have performed well in their first two semesters at Troy University by maintaining at least a 3.0 Cumulative Institutional GPA.  The scholarship will waive up to out-of-state tuition as long as a Cumulative Institutional GPA of at least 3.0 is maintained continually until graduation.
This scholarship will provide the student between $9,300 and $14,000 annually (two semesters).

International students who receive an International Education Scholarship, International Recruiting Scholarship, or International Honors Scholarship may enroll for summer courses at their scholarship rate.

International Trojan Opportunity (UNDERGRADUATE)

The International Trojan Opportunity scholarship enables students who begin their undergraduate academic work with Troy University at an overseas TROY location to be eligible for an International Trojan Opportunity scholarship if they transition to an Alabama campus as unconditionally admitted students.  This scholarship will waive out-of-state tuition requirements.
This scholarship will provide the student between $9,300 and $14,000 annually (two semesters).

Graduate Scholarships

This scholarship is designed to encourage students from outside of Alabama to pursue graduate work at Troy’s Alabama campuses.  Recipients must be “unconditionally” admitted to the graduate school including English proficiency requirements.  The scholarship will waive out-of-state tuition.  Students must maintain a 3.10 cumulative grade point average at the time of scholarship renewal to continue to receive the scholarship and must enroll in a minimum of nine hours per semester or six hours per term.
This scholarship will provide the student between $8,500 and $9,000 annually (two semesters).

Graduate Assistantships

These assistantships enable eligible graduate students to receive financial support in exchange for working twenty hours per week in an academic department.  Each student receives payments from their specific academic department, plus a tuition waiver of $2,500 per semester. These Assistantships are extremely competitive and are awarded by departments throughout the University.

Sino-American 1-2-1 Program and Partnerships Programs

Enables students from partner institutions in China to attend two years at Troy University and to transfer in two years of academic credit from the partner institution in order for each institution to independently confer a degree upon a student.  Participants in this program receive a waiver of up to 50% of their total tuition.
