Substance Intervention Program

The Substance Intervention Program is designed to help students who may be having issues with drugs and/or alcohol. The goal of SIP consultations is to provide early identification and/or intervention of substance abuse issues for students who are at-risk for experiencing negative consequences due to substance use. Consultation is provided as a means to increase education about substances and assist students with developing plans for how they will make decisions regarding drug and alcohol use in the future. In order to get the most out of the program, students are asked to meet with a staff member individually once a week for 4 weeks. Students can complete the program voluntarily, or be mandated to complete the program through Student Conduct or Athletics.
