Miller Analogies Test
The MILLER ANALOGIES TEST (MAT) is a 60-minute test consisting of 120 multiple choice questions. It is a high-level analytical abilities test that requires the solution of problems stated as analogies. The MAT is intended to measure your ability to recognize relationships between ideas, fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of literature, philosophy, history, science, math, and the fine arts. Registration
MAT Testing in Troy, AL is available Monday- Friday by appointment only. Pre- registration is required. Once you complete the registration form, the Test Administrator will contact you to arrange a testing date/ time.
Testing Fee
The current cost for testing is **$70.00 (cash/check/debit or credit card). The cost of taking the MAT is tentative and subject to change September of each year. Directions for payment will be provided once your appointment has been confirmed.
Requirements
- Two (2) forms of identification (one must be a government- issued photo ID; credit cards with photos are excluded)
- Social Security Number is REQUIRED (or VISA numbers for International students without a Social Security Number); It is not necessary to bring your card

Score Requirement
If you are a Troy University student and would like to know the MAT score requirements for your academic program, please visit the Graduate Catalog and review the admissions requirements for your degree program. ADA Accommodations
Any individual who has a physical or mental impairment or limitation described as a disability under the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) or the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA) may request special testing arrangements. If your needs are such that you will require extra time or assistance to take the MAT, you will be given a nonstandard administration.
