Scholarship Opportunities for Geospatial Informatics Students
Troy University Scholarships
Troy University has three different scholarships for students enrolled in the Surveying and Geomatics Sciences program. Sophomores or above are eligible to apply.
- Elbert A. Botts Endowed Scholarship – multiple recipients yearly
- Marshall A. McLeod Geomatics Scholarship – multiple female recipients yearly
- Earl Dudley Geomatics Scholarship - multiple recipients yearly
Seniors in the College of Arts and Sciences can apply for the Chancellor's Fellowship Award
ASPLS Scholarship
Alabama Society of Professional Land Surveyors (ASPLS) Scholarship is awarded to students with Alabama residency who have completed 2 semesters toward a 4-year degree in Surveying.
NSPS Scholarships
National Society of Professional Land Surveyors (NSPS) and American Association of Geodetic Surveying (AAGS) Scholarship program awards a variety of scholarships to students in a 4-year surveying program. Student membership in these organizations is required to apply.
USGIF Scholarship
The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) Scholarship Program offers scholarship to students in geospatial sciences.

ASPRS Scholarship
The American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) offers five undergraduate scholarships to advance geospatial sciences. Student membership in ASPRS is required to apply.
THSOA Scholarship
The Hydrographic Society of America (THSOA) Southeast Chapter offers at least four scholarships to residents of 8 southeastern states pursuing a 4-year degree in Surveying, Geomatics or Geographic Information Sciences (GIS). Student membership in THSOA is required to apply.
