Brand Anthem

At Troy University, we live, learn and lead with a solid grounding in family values that emphasize meaningful relationships and genuine support. We bring that same sense of groundedness to our beautiful campuses, where our close-knit community and life-changing mentorship create a space that welcomes people from all walks of life. Nontraditional, first-generation, military students and those from international communities find their home away from home here. It's the small things — like knowing each other's names, saying “hi” as you walk by someone — and the not-so-small things — like the Odyssey Convocation and mental health counseling — that form the community everyone needs to become their best selves.

Our legacy is built on heart and hard work, where no challenge is too great and no goal too ambitious. Pioneering online education wasn't the easy road, and neither is building doctoral programs or research facilities to become a Carnegie R2 institution. But resilience is in our DNA — we stand strong, stay humble and never lose sight of our vision. With this mindset, we grow stronger through tough challenges,embracing the deep self-discovery that comes with it. Our students do the same. Many hold full-time or part-time positions or serve in the military while working on their degrees. Many also embrace global opportunities to prove themselves and learn from our diverse world.

Our students, faculty and staff all have their own stories of success — each as unique as the individual. For some, it's forging valuable connections with worldwide influence. New brand campaign launched: All Ways Real. Always TROY.

Troy University is launching a new brand campaign that celebrates the authentic, transformative experiences that make being a Trojan special.

Titled “All Ways Real. Always TROY.” the campaign highlights the values of discovery, exploration, persistence, leadership and mutual support that define the Trojan experience.

Developed in partnership with Carnegie Higher Education, the campaign emerged from a comprehensive brand research effort involving internal stakeholders, external perception surveys and competitive analysis. The result is a message that reflects not only what the University offers, but who Trojans are.

Color Pallet

Color is one of the strongest tools we have for building brand recognition and awareness for the University. When applied consistently, our colors reflect TROY's history and tradition while effectively uniting every piece of communication under a single, distinctive visual identity.

Primary Stacked Logo

The stacked TROY logo serves as the University's primary wordmark in our identity series. The two-color version is the preferred form and should be used whenever production and space allow. For digital or web applications, the one-color white version is recommended.

The logo was originally developed from the Novarese typeface but has been custom-modified. Because it is a proprietary mark, no substitutions or recreations are permitted. Always use the official logos provided in these standards.

Academic Logo

Troy University's strong brand identity adds value to each unit, just as each unit adds value to the larger institution.

Multiple logos are available to meet the needs of academic units. The primary stacked and T Sword logos may be paired with academic unit titles as shown, and the horizontal logo may also be used with unit titles when needed to fit space requirements. The reversed (white on cardinal or black) version is preferred when used in a digital or website application. 

Some named entities, such as the Sorrell College of Business, also have historic logos. See the section titled “named entities” for more information. 

Unit logos use approved typefaces but are individually adjusted for custom design. Request logo files from Marketing. Do not substitute locally designed artwork.

Apparel/Vendors

T-shirts purchased with University, donor, partner or sponsored program funds must be cardinal, or must have predominantly cardinal graphics on a secondary TROY color (black, gray or white).  

Standard exceptions are the following:

  • Licensed shirts and similar apparel manufactured for retail sale.
  • Athletics jerseys and camp shirts (as approved through Athletics).

Special exceptions may be granted by Marketing for special use shirts such as those for referees, goalkeepers, camp leaders or other individuals who must be identified by shirt color.

Typography

Typography is a central element of the Troy University visual brand system. Consistent typography strengthens recognition and helps convey the drive, excellence and warmth of the University personality across all communications. The system consists of approved typefaces, each designated for specific uses. A full range of weights provides flexibility for different applications while maintaining cohesion. Substitutions are not permitted. Use only the designated fonts to preserve the integrity of the TROY identity and brand.

The Presidential Seal

The Presidential Seal is reserved for official documents and ceremonial applications. Such occasions are limited to the University diploma, decrees and other legal documents and materials created for ceremonial purposes. Using the following options, the Presidential Seal approval is determined exclusively by the Chancellor or a designated marketing representative.

The seal may also be used on facilities, with approval by the Chancellor through Marketing.
