Our Master’s in Management Program

Do you find your current opportunities limited? Do you have dreams of furthering your education and leading people toward success in the world of business? Make your dreams realities by enrolling in TROY’s Master of Science in Management (MSM) program. The MSM is a professional one-year program of advanced study that centers on introducing master-level students to organizational management within the context of a global business framework. We offer concentrations in leadership, project management, and talent development, with courses on campus and online.

An MSM degree can help you achieve your goals by combining academic knowledge and applied work experience to assist you in developing your leadership skills and capabilities as a management professional. This is a 10-course program that can be completed in (five terms) or two years (ten terms). An undergraduate business degree is not required.

Why Study Management at TROY?

The MSM is a non-research-oriented master’s degree that will equip you to effectively lead your future team and organization to success. You will apply your own experience and knowledge to better understand your organization and be better prepared to lead teams. You will learn how to systematically approach organizational challenges and issues, how to engage others, and how to develop and implement programs that improve teamwork, organizational change and continuous improvement.

By focusing on the application of leadership principles, models, and theories within nonprofit, private, and governmental sectors, the MSM program will provide you with the tools and know-how to succeed. When you complete your degree, you will be a more effective communicator, have a better understanding of effective teamwork and have the skills and abilities to effectively lead others. Through this applied leadership approach, you can apply concepts and models from courses to your own organizations and work environments.

Why Get Your MSM Online?

Since the TROY programs are offered entirely online, they’re an ideal fit for working professionals located anywhere looking to advance their careers without sacrificing their current jobs.

What Does a PMP Do in an Organization?

Skilled project management professionals are in high demand across all industries.

As varied as organizations across the spectrum of business and industry can be — anything and everything from technology and manufacturing to military, media, finance, nonprofits and all points in between — every organization shares in common the need for successful completion of projects. And while a “project” can take countless forms and present any number of potential objectives, it takes the work of a skilled, well-trained project management professional (PMP) to ensure it’s completed on time, on budget and in a way that satisfies all stakeholders.
