Captain Andrew Ian Freeman is a native of Marietta, GA. He received his commission through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA in May 2010. CPT Freeman’s hobbies include restoring classic cars, gaming collection, home remodeling, and spending time with his family. CPT Freeman is married to Bethany Freeman and they have two sons; Canaan (15) and Zion (12).

Bachelor of Science in Management with a minor in Logistics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (2009).

Key assignments have included: Executive Officer, GSC, GSB, 3SFG(A). Platoon Leader, Chemical Decontamination Detachment, GSC, GSB, 3SFG(A) EAC Commander, CJSOTF, SOTF-NE, Brigade CBRN Officer, 2IBCT, 4ID and Company Commander, HHD, 242EOD BN, 71EOD GRP.

Captain Freeman’s military awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq  Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Air Force Oversea Ribbon-Short Tour Ribbon, Air Force Military Education Ribbon, NATO Medal, and US Army Parachutist Badge.
