meeting the standards set forth in the insurance regulations for exchange visitors

between communities with Chinese cultural backgrounds. CSSA organizes various events
to help newly arrived Chinese students better adapt to American culture and society,
advocate friendly exchanges within and outside the Chinese community, and promote
colorful recreational activities to provide students with more opportunities to share
and connect with each other with cultural similarities. During the fall semester,
CSSA will host the Football Tailgating Event and the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration.
In the spring semester, CSSA will organize the Chinese Lunar New Year Festival, which
serves as their largest event of the year. To learn more or get involved, please email.

The Vietnamese Student Association has joyfully shared their culture here at Troy
University for many years. They have participated in the annual International Education Week by displaying items
and pictures from their home country along with offering Vietnamese treats and candy.
The VSA co-hosts in the very American tradition of tailgating before Troy football
games. Since tailgating is mostly about food, the VSA has worked hard to prepare delicious
Vietnamese food for the tailgate parties. Celebrating by having a party for their
fellow Vietnamese students who are graduating from Troy University is an annual VSA
tradition. To raise funds for their biggest celebration of the year, Tet, the VSA
holds various fundraising efforts on campus. For Tet, the VSA observes the Lunar New
Year holidays by inviting everyone to join in the festival, both Troy Trojans, and
the Troy community. With music, dancing, games and delicious Vietnamese cuisine, they
share the very special holiday typically spent with family at home with their Trojan
family here in the U.S.
