Educate the Mind to Think, the Heart to Feel, and the Body to Act.

Troy University traces its history to 1887, when the Alabama Legislature established the State Normal School at Troy to train teachers for the state's public schools. Over nearly 140 years, that single campus in Pike County grew into a comprehensive public doctoral and research university serving students across Alabama and around the world — a transformation led for 37 years by outgoing Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr.

Troy University's Board of Trustees seeks a visionary, experienced leader to serve as the University's next Chancellor.

ABOUT TROY UNIVERSITY
“Selecting Troy University's next chancellor is one of the most important responsibilities entrusted to the Board of Trustees. We are seeking a leader who will build on TROY's accomplishments, advance its mission and guide the University into its next chapter. We welcome the perspectives our committee members will bring to this process.”
Gibson Vance | President Pro Tempore of the Board of Trustees
