Housing and Residence Life

March 1st is the Housing priority deadline for new incoming students. Applications received after March 1st are placed on a wait-list for housing.

Placement procedure is as follows:

  1. Room Scholarship for current on campus students
  2. New incoming students under the age of 19 by August 13, 2018,
that have applied by March 1st
  3. New incoming students over the age of 19 by August 13, 2018,
that have applied by March 1st
  4. Current on campus students under the age of 19 by August 13, 2018
  5. Current on campus students over the age of 19
Once on-campus housing is full any students that have applied will be placed on a wait-list and will be notified when their assignment is made. If it is determined that their name will not be reached for assignment, the student will be notified so that they may seek off campus options. The time line for this will be during the month of June or July. Students on the wait-list can opt off the wait-list at any time to seek off campus housing options and are encouraged to notify housing in writing at of their decision to cancel their request for on-campus housing.
Housing does not have the capacity to house all students that may wish to obtain housing. The Housing Office will work diligently to house as many students as possible as quickly as possible. It should be understood that once all space is filled a vacancy must occur in order to place the next student regardless of date of application or classification. For this reason late cancellation fees were established to encourage students to think ahead about their housing plans and should they need to cancel to do so in a timely manner so that those on the wait-list may be able to be housed. Deadlines will be strictly enforced and adhered to.
